Biography
McMurry
treats every square inch of canvas as an individual
abstract painting, creating an overall effect both layered and
symmetrical. Alive with energy and dynamic perspectives, her paintings
change the way we view landscapes. We are
invited into a natural world in which vast open spaces and
balanced colors offer harmony and a sense of freedom.
McMurry’s technique and style are intimately tied to a West
Texas childhood of classical music and science training. The
study of violin influences her varied, impressionistic brushwork.
